April in 5th grade

In April, 5th grade is going to be introduced to 5 major Artists and 5 very different Art styles as our Art History Study section begins. 

The first Artist we will look at is Piet Mondrian.

Piet Mondrian's Artwork can be broken down into a few basic elements - 

-straight lines and right angles

(-which form squares and rectangles)

-primary colors + black and white

Each student will create an image in the style of Mondrian.

(look closely .......... no triangles)
